Can I start physical therapy without having seen a doctor?
Yes, in most cases. You can be treated by a physical therapist at our office for 10 visits or 30 days without having seen a doctor. A few insurance companies require a doctor’s referral to reimburse for physical therapy. However Medicare still requires that you have a doctor's prescription before starting physical therapy.
If my doctor has told me I need physical therapy, what information do you need from my doctor?
We welcome a referral from your physician, nurse practitioner, osteopath, podiatrist, or dentist. The referral should say what your diagnosis is.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Exercise shorts and a T-shirt, doctor's referral (if you have one), results from Xrays or MRI. Bring your insurance card.
What should I expect at the first session?
The physical therapist will perform a detailed physical evaluation of your problem, begin treatment of the problem, and teach you exercises to do at home. Please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment time to complete paperwork.
How long will treatment be?
Allow one hour for the treatment. Approximately 30 minutes will be one-on-one with the physical therapist. You might also receive therapeutic modalities or additional exercise time if the therapist determines it is appropriate for your problem.

Yes, we have storage for your exercise clothing, and a shower if needed.

We take credit cards (Mastercard or Visa), checks or cash. We ask that you pay your co-payment at the time of each treatment.
